1 year….

She is 1 whole year old! Sometimes it feels like it flew by and other times it feels like it’s been much longer. The things she has been through in one year just blow my mind. I think I’m mostly so happy to see where she is!

I feel like she has become everything we hoped and expected and nothing of what some physicians told us to expect.

Outside of vision, Demi is on point developmentally. That is extremely reassuring and promising! Obviously we still have some time to go on some things but we still continue to expect her to accomplish it all! I know this girl is destined for big things and meant to be an inspiration! I can’t wait to see what the next year brings us!

Her vision is also impressive! She isn’t wearing her glasses much lately because she has developed a habit of taking them off and playing with or biting them. We are working with a behavioral therapist on that and have some great plans as of today! She is crawling around the house, recognizing door frames, walls, color changes in the floor and crawling to her toys! Just last night she followed me around the house a good bit and I was just so impressed with her vision and determination through it all!

We will be having therapy through video chats for now but we aren’t suspending anything as long as we can use video! She shared a birthday party with Beau on Sunday! We had the best time! We are so blessed to have so many people who love and care for our children like we do!

Our big guy is the big 4! He continues to be the best, sweetest big brother and I love watching them together. Demi is obsessed with Bubba and often crawls after him!
